Madrid-based acoustic and electric bassist. Former member of the Mo'Jazz quartet (2000-2002) and the Symbiosis quintet (2006), his jazz trio without drums Su'Bop has been active since 2001. He has also collaborated in various projects with pianist David Sanz , co-founding Babieca , folk music band with which he has developed an intense live activity in Spain and Portugal since 2002. His current projects are the jazz fusion band Tet-Quart , the jazz quartet Thirty-Four Miles , the 70's and 80's rock covers band Inner Game and the Kyrios quartet, house band for every tuesday's jam session at Madrid's Segundo Jazz club, having performed at the XXIII and XXIV Festival de Jazz de Madrid (2006 and 2007). He's also played in the Fémina 2007 festival along with Ángela Cervantes, at X Ciclo de Jazz Universidad Rey Juan Carlos with the Juan Camacho Quintet (2007) and at Festival de Jazz de Talavera 2007 with the jazz fusion band Tisana.
Arturo composed the original soundtrack for the short film Icaria (directed by George Karja), and has occasionally performed live with Marcelo Peralta , Guillermo Bazzola , Andrés Olaegui , Carlos "Sir Charles" González , Santiago de la Muela , Marta Sánchez , Richie Ferrer , Patricia Ferro Olmedo , Cheryl Walters, Riner Scivally, Borja Barrueta, Román Filiú , Norman Hogue and Chema Sáiz .
