Howdy folks! I'm primarily a stand up bass player but am also pretty well versed in rhythm guitar & Dobro. I have had the good fortune to have traveled the world and to have recorded with lots of talented musicians. Bands I have played with include hot swing, New Orleans Jazz, rockabilly, bluegrass, and blues. At the present, one of my projects is a bluegrass band called Tenbrooks. Cd is due out soon and we are all excited about that. I am also gigging as a " singer/songwriter". I've compiled a fair catalog over the past few years and it's time to go public! Been working some shows with David Alan Trabue, who is a fine songwriter, and a great singer with a tinge of Roy O. I'm playing my old Gibson ES 135 with "The Echo Brothers". Believers in twang & keepers of the true country torch. Bassing here & there when calls come in. (If you're in the SF Bay area & need some bass, let me know.)
Three of the songs, "Crossing the Border", "Goodbye" and "If I Knew Then" were recorded back in 1997 by Garth Webber at Red Rooster Studios. Had some great players. Pat Ickes on Tele, Jason Hansen on drums, Bruce Saxton on sax, Mike Love on accordion. Helping me sing here is David Putnam who sings lead in Tenbrooks. I wrote the songs. The others I recorded on a Tascam 788 a few years ago. I played all instruments & sang harmony. I got the snare off ebay & recorded with it that night. Yeah, yeah I know, close doesn't count when it comes to the beat. Oh well... I had my old friend Charlie tweak a few things & I'm pretty happy. (Cool studio hidden in the Santa Cruz Mountains) Thanks Charlie!
After having the slide show up for awhile I find I need to clarify two things. One, I made the jewelry, and two, I am NOT naked! OK, even MORE clarification - it was Nashville heat, recording in a small isolation room, so to cool down, I took my shirt off. That's all.
