This year has been spent shooting "Jealous." Her cutthroat film about the dirty seeds of jealousy among women.Tagline? Being evil is easy, being a woman is not." Original concept, leading actress, creative producer- Brandelynn Turner. And now a note from the artist: Suppressed communities have no harbor for creative types. Most people take me with a grain of salt and a shot of whiskey, or they'll drive themselves crazy trying to keep up. No sense in competing..I am a natural born star. I am a Wisconsin girl at heart & very proud of that heritage. I will defend the Green Bay packers till' my dyin' day (even though the only way I know we've made a touchdown is when the Miller Lite cans fly past my head as I touch up my lipstick.)Being a small-town girl in the cities has been a test of integrity, morals, and who I am at the core. Like anywhere, you meet people who test those values & your mind's eye wonders what happened. The miracle is that if you look around, the good folks always find each other. I cannot plainly tell you how much I have suffered for my art, but I have plenty of stories. I come from a family who has monetary success but worked hard for it. I hope the best lesson they've taught me is that they don't support me financially when I "need" it, but only when I've "earned" it. This mentality has made me a woman who isn't afraid to starve & struggle for her art...alone. As my character in the film "Hollywood and Vine" states "Hollywood has never been a choice for me," and neither has being an actress. I compare it to falling in love..."when you know, you know," in the deepest caverns of your heart. In fact, some days I crave my art so desperately; then I release that celebration on stage and in film..cause we all know God has been gracious with me in the talent department!
