After years of watching bands that looked like pale coffee shop workers contemplating suicide--The boys of Metal Snake had a vision and declared a mission to end the insanity--and bring it back 10 fold!
Armed with good looks, bombastic frontmen, screachin' guitar licks, pounding bass' and crushing drums--They set out to dominate the tribute band scene.
Metal Snake's big break came when they opened up for a Neil Diamond cover band at one of San Diego's premier venues.
The lead singer challenged Bobbie Lee Holiday to a spin the jack bottle drinking contest back stage. Needless to say, the Neil Diamond wannabee turned green, ran outside and ended up in the dumpster with the word "tiny" written on his forehead. Holiday, in perfect form--grabbed 3 strippers from the audience and ran off into the sunrise in a hot tub stretch limousine.
These are some of the antics that Metal Snake brings to the table. Yeah, they are a hair metal tribute band, but "It definitely beats working at a 7-11 and not getting chicks" quotes bassist Tokyo Rose from Hiroshima Japan and former member of Tiger Lily--Japan's one and only-almost famous hair metal band.
Metal Snake is still dominating the southern california tribute band scene, with their explosive stage performance, uncanny humor, dazzling costumes, heavy makeup, and flawless musical licks.
"Our biggest alcohol selling nights have been when Metal Snake plays" says owner of Pacific Beach"s hot spot Longboard's. "Plus, they always bring the hottest chicks, which no one complains about."
