About Me

Louis "DonKyl" Kattie's first real encounter with US Rap was back around 1993-1994, in Ivory-Coast West africa, when Snoop came out with that Doggy style album. It opened up his ears to american music. He became addicted to it when 2pac made 'Me against the world'. "How can music display so much emotion?" so he asked himself. In 1995 N.W.A blasted the Rap scene with Natural Born Killaz. DonKyl (formerly Luigi) went ballistic and started watching the US rap movement closer and with more passion. the emotional big bang occured when 2pac in 1996 released 'All eyez on me', this album went 9 times platinum and was shortly followed by the announcement of his death. DonKyl felt such a shock that he listened to the album all day evey day for approximately 6 months. As if he wasn't already addicted enough, 2pac, the "Dead" immortal thug released 'The 7day theory'. He was such a strong influence that DonKyl and his partner SOLI (who currently has the RAP game on lockdown in Morocco) began learning the songs by heart to perform them. It is then that DonKyl fell completely in love with rap and gave it all his attention. He arrived in the USA in 1997. In 1999 he started writing his own text but with lack of time due to full time student status and full time work, he neglected this dream and got attracted by another movement, MONEY. During those hard years, he went through what one might call hell and expressed it all by writing. He wrote a total of 20 songs and composed 4 beats that were all destroyed by a computer virus (had to clean the hard drive entirely). With those files went his dream and more importantly, his story. A couple of years went by and in 2006 he started writing again due to encouragements from peers... To make an extremely long story short, after years of recording as a hobby on his PC, on October 9th 2006 DonKyl stepped into a professional recording studio, Ron's Nightsky Studios spent a whoppin hour and recorded 2 hits, I-C Thugs and Lost Hope Featuring N'Die. Follow him on this rocky journey and please give your honest opinion, it'll be appreciated. LUv out, DonKyl!found this music layout at HOT FreeLayouts.com :: MyHotComments
