About Me

hey! so im mike..and i live a great life.. a life led by my god, whom i choose to give myself to and to serve his cause with all i am and have..i love my church - edge church, and count it an absolute privelidge to serve the vision god has called his people to..i believe in young people, as i one day was believed in..and hav a passion to see them use the things they have in their hands and hearts to see a generation come to know God..oh yeah, i play drums..i like playin em =) its whats been put in my hand, but the best part is to be able to use it for worship, which it would totally be lost for cause without the ability to do so...i have an unbelievable best friend in my life - rebecca kate mcconnell..and i love her sooo very much. we celebrated our one year anniversary if thats what u call it on aug 27 this year, we had so much fun! (thanks for ur scooter macca..) she is the most important person in the world to me..my boys: chad - my best man..in everything, not just my future wedding..& beth too. pitto - my bro and fellow soldier, chris vince - my real bro, and my joy to watch grow into a man of god..jason gowland - the youth pastor the whole world needs in their church. kris goog - my awesome youth pastor and leader..macca, rudy, the king boys (keep ur eye on those guns!) my jordy - ill aways love u bro..jakey, popey and wheatley - my former and sorely missed workmates at the number 1 waterproofing organisation in the country..not to mention the boss - Mike 'kingy' King..tobes and janis, phil and kath - love u guys..but i couldnt fail to mention my two new-found fellow apprentice electricians: Josh 'doug' cornthwaite and nick truman..u boys are awesome, and greg truman & geoff kab are my new bosses, champions to say the least..so thats a fraction of what is me..my friends, my life, some passions and interests..thats all! and im out. x

My Interests

edgechurch - my home church..lovin the house, i love music - listening and making, im into cars - just give me ABSOLUTELY anything, slam it on 19's and im happy =) umm, i love seeing god change a life before my very eyes, i love being a part of it..i love seeing god choose the ones man never would, and i love the look of "why me?" that shows the overwhelming grace of God when he does - these things very easily make me cry. i love my friends, would do anything for anyone of them..and i love my family, cant beleive i was born into such an awesome one!

Music:

shakers & hillsong, new edge church p+w - love it..my bro's bass playing - quickly becoming my favorite.. i dont mind story of the year, blink/travisbarker, LOVE good charlotes new stuff, pillar are wicked - stereo mesa quads all the way baby!!, anything pretty heavy without too much screaming..in otherwords a little bit of vocal/musical talent.. also lately ive been quite surprised with my liking for real good quality dance music...??

Movies:

300, gone in sixty seconds..ooooooh eleanor! the fast and the furious - number 2 and 3 suck! cool drifting in 3 ill admit..'the ringer' with Jonny Knox - hilarious!.. "smooth moves ajax!" that ones for you pitto, click..love adam sandler, Gladiator would have to be another favorite, Happy Gilmore, braveheart, and im a shameful watcher of some chik flix.. =l

Television:

neh..got pretty hooked on prison break tho.

Books:

got a whole stack that i may well start one day..but i love the 'wild at heart' series by John Eldredge

Heroes:

Jesus Christ my Lord and Saviour (although that can be a rather trendy thing to say), who chose to die on the cross for me, knowing i would fall over and over again...my mum&dad...ps danny, kris and mike guglielmucci - the men that continue to lead me into my destiny. Jason Gowland - my unbelievable youth pastor thats about to move to the UK, Ben Child my future unbeleivable youth pastor.. =) and my beautiful girlfriend Rebecca Kate McConnell :)
