Hello, I would like to share my story of how / why I was brought to America: I was born and raised in Sicily Italy by my parents Falicia and Geoninni Caruso along with my 3 older brothers and my baby sister Misha. I was only 18 when my parents died in a car accident not even a block away from our home. They died ten days after my birthday 10-20-98! I miss them dearly. Their death took the worse toll on my sister's life, she became somewhat of a thrill seeker at just age 14, she wouldn't be home for days at a time. My uncle decided that it would be best to take her with him to America to start fresh. My Uncle Paul and his wife Marie took her in so kindly, helped her in finding the best school and a great doctor. My brothers raised me from then on out, as well as taking care of my Noni (Grandma)! My brothers are fabulos. Anyways my uncle came down for my college graduation and invited me to come live with him in America. I set out on my 21st birthday on a plan that would bring me to California on 10-10-01 I was excited, yet scared to leave my only known HOME! I was very happy to be there in California with my sister, aunt and uncle. I do feel that it was my home, even though my brothers were pressing me to go back to Italy, but it seemed like California would be where I stayed for good...So even though I felt badly and missed them so, I felt happy and content there in America. I am now back though, I just got married February 14th 2006 to a wonderful man, PauloMio. We have not yet diceded on when to begin our family. We are both two very independant and active people, with very busy lives. I now get to work side by side with my brother Geoninni at the same hospital. My brother Filippo is still into his modeling ***OH BOY*** and my brother Carlo, well he is one heck of a business man, he is never around anymore. My sister is in fashion school in California, FIDM, and my best friend in the world is working as well in the medical field. I couldn't be happier!
