I remember Exactly where I was When I heard that Steve Had Died..I was sitting in a Hotel In Tunica ,Miss..My Jaw Just Dropped...Nooooooooo..Not "Our Steve"....Must be a Mistake..CNN has got it wrong..Went went back to the Hotel room and Hung on Every Word that was scrolling across the Bottom of the Screen..About 4am I finally fell asleep,Hoping that when I woke up it would be a Mistake..But No....He was gone..I felt the need to ring My Parents back Home in Australia..It felt like a family Member had passed away..I was thinking of Terri,Bindi,Little Robert..What about "His best Mate" His Dad..My Heart was breaking..What are they going to do without him?..I arrived home and saw that "My Mum" had indeed rung..She too had the need to talk to me..For the following days I hung on every word that was in the Media..Still thinking that it was a huge Mistake..Then came the news that there was going to be a televised memorial..This was My chance to say "Goodbye"..As soon as it started there was "My Home"..My Fellow Auzzies all Like Me needing to see that it was indeed true ,and also to show the World that he was "Our Steve"..With Heartbreaking sobs I sung "True Blue" along with the crowd..I watched his Best Mate "WES" talk about the mischief that they both got up to..I was thinking to myself"What is Wes going to so without his best mate?"..Then Bindi..How very very Proud Us Auzzies were of her..What a trooper.Another song.."Give me a home amongst the Gum Tree,s"..Through tears and Sobs I Proudly sung along..This was for Steve..I watched as his "ute" was driven away and again sung with Every Australian "True Blue".He was truly gone... I was lucky enough to have gone to His park in the 90,s..I saw "Agro and "Charlie"..I Played with Dingo,s..I Listened as he told me all about the Wonders of the Crocodile,s...Little did I know what a Enourmous Impact he would have Everywhere in the World..He was loved throughout the World..But to Us Auzzies ..He was "Our Steve"
