THE GRASS IS ALWAYS GREENER...My latest body of work is concerned with the study of the connections and parallels between the urban and natural environment. This is a progression from previous works relating to organic form and fusion of materials. Through my practice, I investigate of a variety of materials and processes symbolically appropriate to the themes I am exploring. In order to display the co-existence and balance between the natural and the manmade I have created an artificial counterpart within these objects.I create sequences of works in succession. Within each series, individual components relate and connect to each other; seemingly the building blocks of a micro world. Onlookers are provoked to interact with the work, and in doing so, consider the invisible structures that link everything in our universe. I am interested in each individual’s personal response. It is up to the viewer to create their own narrative; to derive order from the chaos and complete the story
