About Me

Here's a little peek at the latest short film project made while living in Paris for a while..
Mimoun, an obstinate middle-aged Arab man, runs a once profitable halal butchery in an impoverished suburb of Paris. Despite his pessimistic outlook on life, he is a respected elder of the multicultural community in which he lives. He is known for his wisdom, shrewdness, and generosity. Everyone comes to him with personal and financial issues. Today, however, he receives an unexpected visit from an old acquaintance. The young businessman makes a lucrative offer on the butchery and Mimoun must make a decision. As the day proceeds, he struggles through his strenuous job while constantly being harangued to solve everyone's problems. Physically and mentally exhausted, he begins to reexamine his choice to live in a world full of stress, poverty, and destruction.
