Lyke Minds is a consciously inspired hip hop duo consisting of DJ/Producer/Musician DJ Theory (Jake Krauth,) and Lyricist/Performer
1ne Man Sound (Tim Horton.)
Having worked together since high school, these two artists have built a solid foundation of pure, uncompromising hip hop, performing live in various cities with many national acts, and now preparing to release their debut full-length LP entitled “Learn About It.â€
During the high school years, DJ Theory and 1ne Man Sound were also members of the collective hip hop group The Natural Mystiks, as well as hip hop groups Sunz of Light (MA) and Mos Mental (Philly.) Though 1ne Man Sound set up shop in the “City of Brotherly Love†for a bit, the duo found themselves united once again in 2005, in their home base of western MA.
Lyke Minds’ foundation has been built by a labor of love; love for hip hop music and it’s true culture. They represent and embody this dedication by bringing original and undeniable hip hop music, not just for the average hip hop enthusiast, but for everyone. Lyke Minds exemplifies the pulse and rhythm of the underground, with beats and lyrics that can surely infiltrate airwaves, clubs and headphones worldwide.
The future looks very bright for this young group, and their focus will remain on keeping hip hop true to its roots, standing tall above the uninspired and negative music overwhelming commercial media today. A live stage presence, positive message, and consistent production are the driving force behind Lyke Minds’ occupation in the industry.
This unification continues to grow and excel in their work year after year, and Mystika Music is proud to represent Lyke Minds full-time.
