By iWellingtonboot!THE PROPHET aka Jamie Catchpole,was born in Hackney Wick in 1983 and bred in Buckinghamshire,which is where he now lives. He learnt to spin tunes at the young age of 14, and since then has had his finger in almost every musical pie. Starting with House and Trance,he got bored pretty quickly and then started playing Drum and Bass at free parties over the area. After hearing pounding 4/4 beats through hench soundsystems,including his own at the time, Vortex,became obsessed with finding the hardest techno he could. In 2001 found his first ever Deathchant record,which started a massive snowball rolling in the Gabba direction!!! Now aged almost 24,he is the proud owner of Gabba/Breakcore rig Subway Soundsystem,upcoming record label Scare Tactics and holds Gabba/Breakcore events under the name Pitched Black. Subway Soundsystem was founded 3 years ago with a lot of effort and hard work,and stands at an impressive 13K of lush,blue Turbosound. After touring the country for 2 years holding free parties,played at by the likes of Sass,The Prophet and many more,he had to call it a day. In 2004,after being prosecuted and fined for the largest illegal rave in North Wales for the last 30 years,decided to concentrate fully on legal events. To this day he has had many gabba/hardcore legends play over Subway, including Simon Underground, Deathmachine, Sass, Dolphin, Autopsy, Tugie,The Provider along side many more. Future plans for him include the launch of SCARE TACTICS record label,which will concentrate on releasing hardcore/breakcore with drum and bass elements. SCARE TACTICS first ep is in the pipeline,featuring tracks from top, new producer Autopsy. More info soon. Also with some immense line ups planned for the future events, things are only going to get bigger and better(and definately LOUDER).
