The Associate Missionaries of the Assumption or AMA is a community of young men and women whose lives are centered on Jesus Christ and the Blessed Mother and committed to be of loving service of all, especially the poor and the sick, thus, becoming the agents for change... THE AMA WAY OF LIFE... is a unique combination of the Assumption and Ignatian Spirituality. it is assumption because we, as part of the Assumption Community, are exposed to the prayer and community life of the Assumption Sisters and Ignatian because we are part of XU-United Religious Organization (XU-URO) that instills Ignatian spirit among its members. simply we are all ATENEANS... WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO BE AN AMA? ...a bit of courage, a bit of daring, a bit of care, a bit of touch, a bit of loyalty, a bit of trust, sincerity, concern, calling, sharing, kindness, sweetness, enthusiasm. perseverance, patience, determination, commitment, selflessness, and above all, you got to have LOTS of FAITH and LOTS and LOTS of LOVE.
