I live in Barcelona right now which is a super diverse city full of Catalans, Spanish, immigrants and tourists. I take full advantage of learning about different cultures and try to speak as much Spanish as possible. I'm also trying to learn Catalan, the native language here. Contrary to popular belief, Catalan is not a dialect of Spanish and, in fact, is quite different. It's pretty much a mixture of Spanish, Italian, French and Portuguese. I've been an English teacher for the past couple of years to business people who are mostly very interesting and funny people. I enjoy my job a lot and would like to do a master's degree someday in translating...I also want to learn Chinese.
