Diabulus in Musica

DIM was the result of the idea of Dragon Lord´s singer, Zuberoa, who told Gorka --keyboardist of that band and Meridiam-- her wish of starting a new metal band with other influences and a modern and cooler sound.
After several months with different ideas in their minds and seeing that Meridiam and Dragon Lord were going to disappear, they decided to undertake this new project. To complete the group, they talked to Adrián (ex-Meridiam guitars) and Jorge (ex-Dragon Lord bass). They both accepted immediately. They still had to find a versatile drum player with an appropriate style. After some auditions, the group chose Santi. This is how DIM was born in January 2006.
Soon after, they recorded some songs composed during that brief period of time for the Atarrabia Rock Contest. In that contest, they were selected for the final among 166 other national and international bands. Unfortunately, they couldn´t play in the final because of schedule problems. In spite of this, the success in that contest encouraged this new band to continue and think about new challenges. In May 2007 they were selected to participate in the prestigious contest "Villa de Bilbao" and they also became finalists in the "Encuentros Jóvenes Artistas de Navarra" contest, in October 2007.
In one year only, DIM has written around 20 original songs. Some of them are now being recorded as a demo that will be sent to different record labels, hoping that at least one of them will be interested!!
In May 2008 DIM is going to start the recording of their 1st complete album, with some surprises, hope you will like it!!
