Housed within the diminutive frame of Lorraine Jacques White is a powerful dynamic energy...the embodiment of a "woman of Substance." Lorraine dispenses a potent and lively blend of inspiration, motivation, intellect and humor that makes her one of the nation's most sought-after public speakers. With each message she delivers, she fulfills a God-given mission to motivate and encourage people.Thousands have tapped into her tireless energy. She has organized,promoted and conducted seminars, workshops and church retreats all across the country. She is an honor graduate of the Interdenominational Theological Center (I.T.C.) with a Master of Divinity degree. Never one to rest on her laurels, she continues to serve as Director of Christian Education at the Mt.Ephraim Baptist Church, where her husband, Dr. R.L. White, Jr., pastors a congregation of more than 14,000 members.Lorraine also hosted a popular radio talk show, "Ministerial Insight," which was heard every Monday evening on 1380 WAOK. The show became a hit with listeners for its hard-hitting,issues-oriented topics and celebrity guests. Since going on air in 1997, Ministerial Insight was host to some of the nation's most recognized public figures, including Kweisi Mfume, Rev. Jesse Jackson, Rev. Al Sharpton, Dick Gregory, actress Kim Fields, John Lewis, Cynthia McKinney, Coretta Scott King, Evander Holyfield and Terrance Mathis of the Atlanta Falcons, to name a few.With her high-energy style and fresh perspective, Lorraine now hosts PowerTalk on 1380 WAOK, Monday through Friday from 8 am to 12 noon. Breaking news, politics, racial issues, entertainment, community concerns, relationships and more are the order of the afternoon on PowerTalk, where Lorraine and her guests provide the knowledge and the community gains the power. Mrs. White has been recognized as a trailblazer for women in ministry. She was selected as one of 23 women leaders to participate in a special video at the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, D.C., and she is one of the co-authors of the inspirational book entitled Sister-to-Sister, edited by Dr. Suzan Johnson-Cook. The Atlanta Business League has named Lorraine to its prestigious list of the 100 Most Influential Women in Atlanta.Together, she and Dr. White have traveled the globe with their complimentary ministries to such places as: Amman, Jordan; Jerusalem, Israel; Cairo, Egypt; London, England; Paris, France; Occupied areas of the Golan Heights bordering Syria and Lebanon; Occupied territories of the West Bank; West Africa (Accra and Kumasi); Frankfurt, Germany; Rome, Italy; Brussels, Belgium
