About Me

"Tomzen" is probably best known for his creative sound design work on diffrent productions. Besides his upcomming Solo Album HeÂ´s currently working on a huge Tripple A computer game title: " Kane & Lynch : Dead men " after finishing his work on the games: "Hitman BloodMoney" and "Hitman Contracts." He has also worked Feature Films and Ducomentry behind the mixer and as boom operator.Tomzen aka "Thomas Wilhelm Dietl Pedersen" grew up in the world of sound and music through his father (a known Scandinavian composer) He started out as a drummer working with different progressive groups such as U.R.D on Virgin Records Denmark.Today heÂ´s out on CD and vinyl on mixed labels With his own (and others) music. In 2002, he composed the score for a Danish movie called Anja Efter Victor. Tomzen is currently signed on for Music for Dreams (Denmark) as a producer. He has also worked on commercial movies,happenings,shows,and theatre.

Influences: "influences" is hard to round up,i canÂ´t tell precise what "was" the influences...i think the whole life with its experiences forms the individual. Ofcause on a daily basis its family and colleagues and friends that push and inspire you. The fact that its hard to point out the "highlight inflouences"theese cases is probaly seen from a more technical ankel. But here is some "influence" aspects..... Of cause my father(and musical family) who played all sorts of wierd and not wierd sound and music....the band U.R.D wich i played in, had a huge impact on me and actually started me off doing electronical music.... all my friends who constantly push their creative boundaries is very inspireing aswell..My old Drumteacher:Ole Theill,my brother Christian,My Mentor and Sound director:Jan Juhler (i owe you Jan...) Brian Eno,Trevor Horn,Sly and Robbie,(My loving friends:T.O.M,TrentemÃ¸ller,Karl Bille,EMO sorry for forgetting anyone)...Ennio Morricone,Tom Jobim,(drumwise:Narada Michael Walden,Jeff Pocaro,Steve Gadd,Stewart Copeland,Tony Williams),Ridley Scott(Thanks for "Alien" and "Blade Runner"...Francis Ford Coppola Thanks for :"Appocalypse Now" and "Godfather"...George Lucas..well you did enlighten my childhood..Akira kurosawaÂ´s 7 samurais.....aaarrrgggh this never ends ! i should never have started with the name thing...there are so many fantastic influences right?..cheers Tmz True To Nature Roskilde_Festival_2002
