And so i find myself at Brighton Uni reading a degree in biomedical science.I moved to London when i was 20, found a sweet pad in Camden and spent the next two years working hard, playing harder and loving every minute, however there was too much more for me to see to be stuck in one place, and so...I packed my bags and found myself back at home and back at college looking for a new challenge. It was all about going to uni for me and now i found and active interest in science and what better way to spend the next 3 years, but moving to brighton. This place has to be seen to be believed, so much fun...Last week in my life: 13/11/06Monday, lectures, lectures...nightime! i went to Po Na Na followed by Casablanca, the former has a very chilled atmosphere with shisha/Nagela on every table, i liked this place. Casblanca was erm...crazy, lots of people, very messy but an experience all the same!On Tuesday i went to see Scratch Perverts, Friction, Pendulum at creation, not my favourite club but whatta night, I enjoyed Friction's set especially, was playing some massive tunes, and a night i wasnt certain id enjoy, turned out very well indeed.Wedneday morning had an exam. Thursday morning had an exam. Friday morning had an exam,Friday and saturday night were cool, stayed with flatmates and friends, had an amazing weekend.This week in my life: 20/11/06Well its only mid-week i know but... Monday was stuck in traffic for two hours, really needed to go out, i went to Honey club, had a good time, but a little too drunk, Last night i chilled, watched a movie, chatted with flatmates...Tonight im going to a house party, i think it should be alot of fun......and im coming home this weekend!!!So im back in brighton now returning from the depths of southend, had A great weekend. Friday evening went for a drink with some friends, was very chilled, unusual feeling being home, but great all the same. Saturday night was all about the sunrooms...Reggae night, it was especially good, one in one out by the time me and James got there at 11.45 but we were lucky as two peeps left pretty much as we arrived. Upstaires a dj provided the very essence of original reggae with a twist of modern influence, very crowded, lots of people dancing and indulging. Downstaires people were standing, dancing, swaying to a lone reggae mc accompanied by his dj playing some seriously good sh*t, would recommend the sunnies on a saturday if you ever find yourself in the sticks. We went to sit on the beach after the sunrooms for a wind down sesh, much needed this weekend although as always, went much too fast...This week in my life: 27/11/06If last week was a binge this week has been the come down, its been chilled, went to the honey club on wednesday,lots of hard tracks, simply stylish, briefly went to the beach after as other housemates were in there, great night.This weekend im gonna check out some parties, let you know how it goes...finally the weekend again!This weekend was madness, i had such a good time. Friday i went out to see a good friend and we got mashed together, it was a nice change and was up all night! Saturday was even better! Started off at a jungle night at pressure point, first time ive been there, it was cool but thought we were gonna fall through the floor it was bouncing so much! Left the club at 3ish and headed home, some other peeps joined later, it was amazing, we were just chatting, laughing, dancing, went on till the next morning, what a night! Sunday was a chill, much needed! Monday i went out quite late to my friends, chatting all night, not much sleep! Tuesday night was seriously mental, there was a little party here and my friend J was mashed, it was so funny, ive never seen anything quite like it, ahhh memories. Tonight im going to watch karl kennedy in a band, nice...dressing up as a doctor!11/12/06....so the gig was cool, actually had a great time! This weeks been quiet so far, went to my chemistry lecturers show at the brighton dome, which was interesting. Tomorrow is my final day at uni this term, cant believe how quick its gone, going out tomorrow night to see the foreign beggars for the celebration, and possibly s rave saturday night, let ya know how it goes, home on sunday...18/12/06....ok, the foreign beggars were immense, one of the best gigs ive been to so far in brighton, caught some of klashnekoff also, was a great night and a perfect way to say goodbye to this seeside town before xmas. Saturday was a little more chilled, checked out a house party with some flatmates, was ok, went home and packed until 6 in the mornin, and headed back to southend...things have been quiet so far, heading to london town tomorrow to see some friends, gonna check out some bars, should be cool...25/12/06...hey there, well i went to london on friday to see james, was very nice, spent the day doing a little shopping followed by a well deserved chuffage in primrose hill, and to a friends in the evenin. saturday was cool, strolled around the east end, checked out the markets, came home, went for dinner with the family and then to pay some old friends a visit. Everythings cool here apart from losing my wallet, needing glasses and getting a bit too drunk last night! Its wednesday today, went for a drink at the alex last night with james, obviously planned for the sunnies but it was shut! had a drink anyway, both of us went to robs place for the evenins finale. Today i went into town, got a coffee, went to see claire and ben, came home, rob popped over and we went to the Rose for some dinner and drinks. Back at home now and james is coming over...nice.Its cool to be home, always, but i feel a return to brighton may be imminent. 2/1/07 - hey so im back in brighton now, got here saturday and was expecting a quiet night, however there was a few people here, had some drinks and headed to the funky buddha for a 3am kick-off, it was so very cool, check out myspace video, the music was electric. Anyways that finished at 6am headed home and went to bed for a bit. Sunday night - new years eve there was a massive party here in one of the flats, strictly drum and base, hip hop, reggae, very enjoyable until fire extinguisher went off and we all made a run for it! A few peeps came back to mine for the come down sesh. Had a few hours sleep trying to recover from the last two nights but had a ticket for the fatboy slim new years day rave on the beach! Not really gonna miss that so headed there for 3pm! Despite the fact it was p'ssing down and freezing, i was dancing with a massive smile on my face so it was a perfect start to the year 07! Last saturday i had the pleasure of attending a Hat party, it was so enjoyable, have added a picture. Monday (last night) went to the Beach club, was much fun, got some exams this week so probs be a quiet week now... ...27/1/07, went to concorde last night for a rave but it was disappointing in all honestly, not that many people and never really kicked off, so some peeps headed bsck to mine til the early hours - which was very cool. Oh i went to audio on wednesday, enjoyed this night especially, all my housemates were there, it was awesome. 13/02/07 - well the start of another week, and a week which sees me travelling home on Friday. The last few days i've visited a few bars, namely casablanca, heist,sky bar some places that i dont know the name of... and audio, which i only went for an hour cause it was a bit of an alternative night and i wasnt feeling it. ended up and my friends, turned into a very cool evenin. 05/03/07 - hi there, well its been a few weeks, but i have a good explanation for the delay, i broke my laptop, there was a bit of a gathering here and some wine went flying through there air, as it does, and landed on my most valued possession, anyway i have it back now so here we go. Went on a bit of an adventure this weekend, headed back to southend on friday, went out to a few bars, ended up at the Sunrooms and finally a few of us back to mine for a sesh. Saturday night I headed to london with James and Jay for a secret warehouse party. The sound was Electro and very cool to dance to, was a spectacular evening even if it was in some kind of daytime carpark, especially actually! finished there at 5.30am and headed back to james to rest our now numb legs.Stayed up talking all morning Sunday headed back to Brighton in torrential rain which was nice,I had a great weekend got to see my friends and family and stay in my own bed for a night! anyway I'm off to see Pendulum and Stanton Warriors tomorrow night, will let you know how it goes, One Love. 11/0307... well tuesday night was cool, especially someone that goes by the name of killa kela, he was insane, an absolutly incredible beatboxer, stanton warriors were cool, pendulum didnt come on til 3, by which time most people had left, came home with my lady, was a great night. Friday night i went to a rave in the woods, yeah this was my kind of night, the stars were out, fire throwers, djs, loads of people, what more can you ask for! 28/3/07...hey hey, well my apologies for taking so long...Went to a fantastic electro night at concorde on Friday, there was a guy playing guitar mixing this sound with a synthesiser or something producing some wicked sounds and all in all such a good night. continued to the early hours. Saturday just chilled, woke up sunday and headed back to southend for easter. At home now in southend catchin up with friends, family, tryna do some revision for exams coming up but the weathers just soo nice, keep finding myself at different coffee bars watchin life go by... I love uni life, although it can be too much at the best of times, always great to come home, but even better knowing i got brighton to go back to! more soon... 2/4/07, hey well its been a really cool week, caught up with my friends, visited some bars, been swimming, running, playing footy, why cant the weather always be like this! 5/5/07... Last Thursday went to a Psy trance night which was actually really cool. Went to concorde last night to see taskforce, chester p etc, was very good, no jehst though! Had a few hours sleep and travelled back to southend this morning to see the family. Tomorrow morning im driving to london for an all day party - let you know how it goes. 9/5/7 ok so james party on sunday was so very good. went to brick lane to a bar there where we had the roof terrace all day and all of the night. finished there and went back to a very nice pad for the aftermath, had such a good weekend, my girl was there, my uni friends, mates from southend - just a cool night. back in brighton now and getting ready for finals...29/5/7 hello hello, recently in my life, went to a rave in the woods on friday, so good, drum b bass, dub step, reggae, a few hundred peeps and a wicked system, so enjoyable, dancing, chatting, drinkin, you know the score...19/06/07...so this is my last week in brighton for the forseeable future. To describe my year in a sentence, well i'll just say it has been one hell of a rollercoaster, every minute had been cool, high times, low times, but always great times. ive met some brilliant people, great flatmates, especially Jay - friend for life! Brighton is a cool place, something for everyone, its been emotional and entirely absorbing, and an experience im looking forward to returning to! peace and love y'all see you in sept!
