C-Dob started playing the drums in church at the age of 6; by the age of 13 he started playing the piano with no training. "I knew it was a gift from God, because I started playing and it came naturally." By 16, his mother gave him $1,000 to buy whatever he wanted for his birthday. "I bought 2 keyboards and just started making my own beats with them without any training." C-Dob started out as a rapper at 17, but had no one to do his music, so he began making beats for himself. "After a while, I stopped rapping and focused more on production." Eventually, he started selling beats to friends and local artists. He soon started to realize that he could make a living doing this.Years went on and he started using the money he made to buy more and more equipment.
