Hey everyone I was born April 26, 1965 in Stony Brook, NY. After high school I attended Cortland University where I played fullback on the football team while majoring in sports management. Then I realized after 3 years that this wasn't the path for me. After returning home, I decided to go back home and to break up the monotony of the summer, I joined a community theater. During a play in which I had a comedic role, I so enjoyed the crowd reaction, that I joined my brother's (Gary Valentine) improv group. I began going to clubs with Gary and realized I, too, had the knack for comedy. I've performed standup up for about 11 years. It was on the comedy circuit that I met Ray Romano. While Ray was getting a big break with his own sitcom, I was getting recognition on "Star Search" (1983). After appearing on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" (1992), my big break came at the 1996 "Just for Laughs" Montreal Comedy Festival. Afterward I landed a recurring role on Ray's sitcom, "Everybody Loves Raymond" (1996). I since received my own sitcom "The King of Queens" (1998).
My Interests
I am a die hard New York Mets and New York Jets fan. I also like UFC, golf and basketball.
