About Me

More of an Auto-Biography, really.
My origins all root to the land of Enchantment. As a kid, waking up and walking outside to find hot air balloons right above my backyard was basically the usual for me. I do and always have gotten a lot of my inspiration from the city I live in. It's sort of impossible not to soak up your surroundings and spit them back up in visual form as any artist, really.
People always ask the question "When did you start drawing?" I always find it strange to answer that question because there is no answer really. Similar to asking someone, "When did you start eating?" As if you might have any recolection of a time and place you truely began.
What I've done and who I am go hand in hand, but they are very seporate things. I appreciate anyone who finds time to view my work. I appreciate anyone who finds time to communicate their ideas and insight with me. I haven't lived enough or died enough to have a Bio, I think.
I paint, I draw, I am a purest at heart. But my first love will always be comics and illustration.
I want to create art that makes you think.
Through much of my recent work, I have strived to unwind a very exstensive concept : The Human Condition. My exploration in this field varries from raw pencil portraits to surreal illustration pieces that deal much more with symbolism and metaphores.
My latest concentration expresses my fascination with the social climatic gap between the late 50's and early 60's. The barely present transition from Beaver Cleaver and poodle skirts to doing cocaine danicng on tables half-naked. It's a very pivotal moment in American History and yet is hardley heard of.
