I'm just the way that the doctor made me..
Hello there, stranger. Usually people say that to someone they’re very good friends with and know very well but, this time I use the word stranger very literally. Unless you are one of my friends or part of my family, you don’t know me. Therefore you are a stranger. So, for those of you who don’t know me; My name is Jenna. I’m not a huge fan of my name and I’ve wanted to change it for a very long time but, I’m afraid that I would hurt my mother and father’s feelings if I were to do that. I am fifteen years young. A sophomore. High school is not as horrifying as I thought it would be or how people brought it up to be. The drama part of it though, that is very real and very annoying. Each passing day is like watching a soap opera. Though it isn't entertaining or captivating in the least. I guess it’s something we all just learn to deal with.
I have strong opinions that I tend to voice a lot. Some find it annoying and think I should just keep my mouth shut. But why should I listen to their opinions about me when they don’t have a care about what I have to say? Homophobic people make me angry and slightly confused. I don’t understand how you could hate a person based solely on their sexuality. Especially if you have never exchanged a word with this person. You know nothing about them. By them liking the same gender they haven’t offended you in any way. They live their life and don’t say a word to you, so why do some people insist to throw rude comments at them? It doesn’t make any sense. Also, I hate animal testing. Just the thought of it makes me sick to my stomach. This is another topic I don’t quite understand. How could a person do such horrible things to an animal? They are no different from a human (with the exception of fur). They’ve got a soul, a beating heart..a mind. It’s horrible. I’m not a vegetarian but, I stay away from red meat. The fact that I am not a vegetarian does not make me a hypocrite, I’m not the one torturing these poor animals.
I enjoy many things, the main things being music and writing. I use them both as an escape when things get rough and I just need a break for a little while. Music is a huge part of me, it saved my life on countless occasions. Honestly, without music I’d be nothing. It keeps me going on each day no matter how hard things may get. I grew up around music lovers, my mom has a million Beatles things that are scattered all around the house. My dad is a huge fan of Metallica ( as well as my mom) I get most of my tastes in heavy metal music from him. Call my music crappy, see what I care. Writing is something I have a love-hate relationship with. I love to do it when I want to but, when I have a deadline I start to panic and procrastinate. I write when I’m in a bad mood usually, it gives me a reason to spill my heart out and express what I’m feeling.
Respect me, and I’ll respect you. It takes a lot to get on my bad side. Say something about my friends or myself and I guarantee you will get a mouthful.
So; that’s me in a nutshell. I’ll never change for you.
