I always had a love for music, and i guess becoming a dj was a very logical effect of that.
In 1999 I got the first of my gear and my first records. I was into house and trance at the time. The following few years where filled with long hours of practice, trying and trying to perfect my growing skills.
By the time my high school career was coming to an end i felt I mastered house music and felt ready to conquer it. I had no idea what was waiting for me...
In 2003 I started uni in Leuven. It was there that during a not that interesting chemistry lesson I met Jinne (now known as Etnik). Our passion for music and DJ'ing was apparent and our friendship was born. It was also him that introduced me to the awesome sounds of drum and bass. As the year progressed we started spinning it more and more, and by the end of that school year I decided to devote all my time to it.
That summer Etnik and I moved to the legendary block 4 of the cite complex. We where spinning a lot together and in constant discussion about music and techniques. One eve of discussing over a couple of beers we started talking about starting a crew, the start of DC004...
I like to keep my sets nice and varied, incorporating as many elements as possible. Mostly starting out soft and melodic and gradually progressing to the harder stuff, getting the flow going and keeping the people moving.
To this day it is plain unbelievable to see that concept grow at an increasing rate. It has been a great ride that hopefully wil go on for a long time to come.
