Köttkvarn ("meatgrinder" in english) started out as a fun project for three veteran members of several earlier bands. With everyone else having gone over to dark side of music (DJ culture, may it burn forever) three people still wanted to make their own music. For a long time, Anders had a dream about having a band with no guitar and only disorted bass. Since there wasnt any guitarist available this was a good time to try the idea and it worked surprisingly well. Köttkvarn has only played two shows but has recorded and released 6 demos/records/whatever (ok two of them are bootlegs but they count anyway. Yes they do). Right now the band is having a sabbath year since Anders is living in Singapore, working with fulfilling Köttkvarns dreams of world conquest.

When downloading songs, dont start with "Jävligt unplugged" or "Helmalet" because those are the bootlegs. And if you really want to dig into the Köttkvarn experience, click videos in the sidebar and download our video of "Köttet var nattens gud" (liten means small, stor means large, download whichever you like).
