I'm 22 years old and currently a resident of Lansing, Michigan, but I spent most of my life in the suburbs of Chicago. I've spent time at the University of Miami and at Wheaton College, working toward a music education degree, but then I decided that I wasn't really about that. So I took a semester off, worked three jobs, did some semesters at community colleges, and moved to Michigan. Now I'm an English major at Olivet College in Olivet, Michigan, and I'm planning to graduate in December 2008. After that, I'm not sure what I'm going to do, besides write. Whether I'll pursue a career immediately or go to graduate school is still up in the air. Eventually, I'd love to write for a magazine, ideally, a skating magazine. I hear Skate Canada has plans to hire me to start theirs again.
My biggest passion is figure skating and some of my best memories have been attending skating events all over the eastern part of the continent with groups of friends. I love going to Canada, because Canadian crowds and skaters are better, and I'm awfully glad that I live a lot closer now. Saves on gas money.
So life right now is being on my own, which is really nice but moderately terrifying, and talking myself out of buying dishes. I think I have a serious dishes fetish. How many plates does a girl need??!
I love my friends, my extended family, driving with the radio blaring, and sightseeing at the nerdiest places imaginable, but more than anything, I love Jesus Christ and I want to live my life for Him.
