I don't like skinny girls unless they have green eyes to make up for it, but I guess brown eyes will

About Me

I'm the kind of person who tries to be as optimistic as possible and enjoys a good laugh. However, with my odd/twisted sense of humor, whether or not you'll find the same things funny as I do is a bit of a mystery. I am very sarcastic and have even been accused of having an "evil" sense of humor by my friends, but they're wrong. I have also been accused of being a smart ass. No argument there. I'm also willing to admit that I'm a nerd, but unlike most, I could beat up someone if necessary. Of course, I've only been in four fights in my life, one of them being with my best friend in 5th Grade just to see who would win. I make friends much more easily than I do enemies. I'm half Japanese and the youngest of three brothers, but I'm the biggest physically. My large frame can be intimidating to certain folks when they first see me, but when someone gets to know me and my very easy going personality it's easy to see there's little to fear.

My Interests

I enjoy most sports, especially football, soccer, ice hockey, and baseball. I'm a history buff and can cite semi-useless facts for hours on end. I don't play computer games as much as I used to, but I still keep up on things. I've been a comic book reader and collector for most of my life. I also enjoy hunting and fishing. I guess that makes me a nerdy redneck.

I'd like to meet:

Anyone who is open-minded and non-judgmental with a sense of humor who can laugh at their own shortcomings and not take themselves too seriously. People who are laid back, funny, and can take a joke as well as dish one out. Some specific people I'd like to meet are: Jimmy Buffett and James Taylor, my two favorite singers. Clint Eastwood, one of my all time favorite actors. Stephen King, just to see if he's as twisted as some of his writing would imply.

Music:

I'll listen to just about any type of music, although I'll brutally rip some hair metal bands of the 80's just to get on my friends' nerves. My favorites are classic rock and Jimmy Buffett (Parrot Head alert!!!).

Movies:

I like all kinds of movies, although some, uhhhh, films geared towards a certain gender-based audience can be a bit hard to sit through.

Television:

I enjoy lots of different programs. Sports is a given, along with documentaries, especially dealing with history. I think I like to watch these more to look for mistakes than to learn anything. I watch all sorts of cartoons (probably more than a grown man should, but who cares), my absolute favorite being Family Guy, and not just because I bear a passing resemblance to Peter. I like the CSI shows, 24, just about anything sci-fi, the G4 Network, and Late Night with Conan O'Brien.

Books:

I read a lot of historical books, both fiction and non-fiction. I also enjoy spy novels/thrillers, horror, and science fiction.

Heroes:

The only person I consider to be my hero is my late father. He was a man of strong convictions and opinions who stood up for what he believed in and wasn't afraid to speak his mind. I am very much like him, which can be both a good, and a not so good thing, but it's who I am.
