About Me

Skateboarding saved my life...

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

.. .

Music:

I don't remember playing much music here, gotta keep the noise down, but never a bust... A blue pool, but not the Blue Pool, somewhere near Reseda and Chase.. Hey, maybe it's still there...

Heroes:

I met Chucky back in '85. He had his factory here in Carpinteria, Ernie DeLost, cranking out the boards, with distribution down in Ventura, sharing a space with Brand X Skateboards. Chuck is the unsung hero of snowboard and skate manufacturing. Designing boards for Sims, before starting his own label. First twin tips, concave skates, beautiful wood, sorry Arbor, even inventing the word... SnoBoard. Check it out... Sims were SkiBoards, Burton was well... Burton Boards, Snurfers well you get the idea... These are not my boards, but I was lucky enough to work with Chuck a few years ago, and snap some shots. This is just the lemon next to the pie... what?

A long time ago...

My Grampa Bob had this really cool Hobie Super Surfer hanging up on the wall in his garage. I couldn't help but notice it. He was a carpenter and had ton's of woodworking equipment in the garage. This...
