I consider myself more of a campfire quality musician as oppose to someone that is good, however I put out my own Cd about three years ago I just gave it to friends mostly. Three years later there are still a couple of songs I like... Sounds pretty much like a live performance produced right in my humble little Mobile Estate near Rincon Point along the Santa Barbara coast. It features some accoustic Meat Puppet covers, few of my own songs and a couple from a homeless guy, Old Mike Powers. Super cool guy and talented songwriter with turrets syndrome. Check out "Ufo" and "Fate of the World". Mike says he use to play with the "New Riders of the Purple Sage" So we started a band, "Ol' Mike Powers and Donald D Riding that Purple Sage... We played live once. It's way to hard to stay focused with turrets syndrome. One minute he's playing one of about 5000 beautiful songs he has in his head that you will probably never hear again, the next he's out wandering the street jerking back and fourth. We hung out for a couple of weeks, bought him a couple of grand worth of instruments for the rights to a couple of his songs and then we went our separate ways.
Now I just play by myself or occaisionaly with a friend, but I think I could kick it up a notch with a better guitarist to spice it up. I am pretty much a rhythm guitarist at best.. So if you like anything and live near Santa Barbara or Ventura and want collaborate leave me a message. Working on a new cd now, for fun, hopefully more polished with more of my songs, but I love trying to do covers song in a new light. I've played a party or two and campfires everywhere. Mostly I like to surf, or paddle my Outrigger... Oh, plus I am completly, recklessly, in love with Jenny..
