Albany Amped is a collection of like-minded musicians that come together to maximize their opportunities to book and promote their music to audiences in Albany, NY the New York/New Jersey Metropolitan Area and the Greater Northeast.
The first show was on August 26th, 2006 at Valentine’s in Albany, NY with The Crayons, Hero Pattern and Readymade Breakup performing. A fantastic group of artists to kick-off Albany Amped. Since then we we have added more bands to our collective and thanks to the SKYLINE in Albany we have shows EVERY Thursday from 9-12 that showcase original local and regional artists. In addition we have started to add regular shows at Tess’ Lark Tavern in Albany. We should see shows start to pop in the other areas in 2007.
In March of 2007 our first promotional compilation will be released. Be sure to watch for updates on the release party. Meanwhile, take a look at our calender and check out the bands. Albany Amped is more than music and we invite you to be a part of it. Support local music!
