I would like to meet some really cool myspace friend's. I would also like to meet Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson from the show Ghost Hunter's.The Piedmont Anomalous Research Society was founded with the purpose of investigating claims of paranormal activity. Our goal is, through data collection, observation and research, to rule out everything that can be explained scientifically, and examine what remains unexplained. We exist in order to provide investigative assistance to those who feel they are experiencing paranormal activity, and seek answers. Proof, positive or negative. We are "ghost-hunters", but we approach each case with the intent of disproving a haunting. While many of us are believers, due to our own paranormal experiences, we are also skeptics, and believe that almost every claim of paranormal activity can be shown to have mundane causal factors. This does not mean that we dismiss claims without serious inquiry and investigation. It simply means that we don't approach our cases with a mindset that might influence us to find evidence where it does not exist. While we believe that everyone possesses a certain degree of what could be described as "psychic sensitivity", we also understand that such phenomena cannot be proven, and simply does not stand up as evidence. For that reason, we do not employ the use of psychics, mediums, etc. We seek only solid evidence that stands up under scrutiny, and will rule out every possible scientific explanation before arriving at the conclusion that given activity may be "paranormal" in nature. • We are a non-profit research group, comprised of individuals who bring together a wide variety of expertise and experience. • We investigate in a highly professional manner, using research, and a broad spectrum of instruments and equipment, including infrared video cameras, temperature and electromagnetic sensors, and audio equipment. • We conduct investigations only with the written permission of the location's owners/caretakers. • We never charge for our services.
