Reading, writing, movies, crossword puzzles, knitting. Making love and making love count (I'm not talking exclusively about sex. I mean the act of love and everything that surrounds it). Learning and growing with each experience I happen upon. Enstilling my passions in others.
Hmmm...Writers: -John Irving (author of 'A Widow for One Year', 'The Cider House Rules' and many more.-William Blake-though he is dead and has been for many years, he is my favorite poet. He made me adore British literature again and I would love to discuss his poetry with him.-Stephen King-another one of my favorite American novelists. I think he's still a genius but has fallen into the age-old problem of writing to a formula. I think that a conversation with him would answer a lot of my questions about his novels.Entertainers: -Fiona Apple-music is as important to me as poetry. She is a poet and her verses have gotten me through a lot of hard times.-Dave Matthews-another singer/songwriter that I consider a poet. I have more respect and reverence for him than I do for some of rock's legends.-Eminem-He's as full of rage as I am. I'd like to see those rages collide in a conversation.I'll think of more late...
I have an ecclectic interest in music. A few of my favorite are DMB, REM, Elton John, Fiona Apple, Eminem, Nirvana... I like showtunes a lot as well. The list of my favorite bands could take a hot minute to type so if you really care, ask me.
Fight Club, Moonstruck, Interview with a Vampire, The Shining, Groundhog Day, The Color Purple... Also a list that could go on for a while. Once again, ask. I prefer dramas and existentialist films.
I can watch just about anything. I have cable for the first time in like four years, so I'm re-acclaimating myself to it as we speak.
'A Widow for One Year', 'Songs of Innocence and of Experience', 'Wasted'...I could honestly go on forever.
Anyone who has campaigned for research for AIDS. It's a cause that is very close to my heart and I wish everyone would wake up and join in the battle.
