About Me

I am an adaptable person. I just read in Cosmo that I am an adaptable person because my parents divorced when I was 7 and I had to live through shuffling between two houses.. This issue of Cosmo also said I should dye my hair eggplant to match my bold, radiant personality, but I think that is less relevant.
I'm a tough cookie. I'm in a constant state of identity crisis. I'm practical, and I hate when others aren't. I'm ambitious, often to my own detriment.
I expect to see a radical redistribution of wealth and power in my lifetime. I hate this fucking country.
I love people, almost all of them, and I mean that. Seriously.
check out this embarassing profile that an obscure online magazine did of me! http://www.theculturalconnect.com/magazines/mideast/2006-10- 23/nonprofit
Ferial Masry’s advice to Arab American youth “You are part of two worlds, but you’re not really part of either one. You’re not really Arab Arab, and you’re not really American American. You are hanging between two worlds. And you have to stand up and make the decision, of where you want to be and how you are going to belong to the two. You can pick the best of each one, but until you make a decision, you can be an American better than the Americans and an Arab better than the Arabs. This doesn’t happen over night. It happens by involvement.”
