Sadistic Spell

Sadistic Spell is a Turkish black metal band that was formed in Ankara at November 1998.They recorded their first demo "Messengers Of Hate" at Zoo Studios at April 1999 which featured 5 unholy tracks.At that time the line up consisted of V.O.D at vocals, Karateke at drums,Nacress at guitars&bass.A few live performances have ensued and the band continued their studio rehearsals regularly.After Sadistic Spell's participation in The 5th Rock Station Fest at 2002,Karateke left the band.By the end of this year V.O.D&Nacress completed the recording of 9 songs at Baskent Studios.In the meantime Ixtab joined the band as bass player.Nacress decided to leave the band sometime soon,and since all material was his,the album "Astral Division" wasn't released under the name of Sadistic Spell.In the mean time a split album with Episode 13 was released at 2003 which featured 3 songs from the unreleased album.This split album was only distributed at the Black Metal Fest 2004 in Ankara where both bands played live.Upon this Ixtab switched to guitars and started composing the upcoming album.The following time; Simultas(guitars) and Xipe Totec(bass) joined the band and studio rehearsals carried on.At August 2005 guitar and bass recordings were completed in Negative Studio(izmir) and the vocal recordings and mix sessions at MK2 studios in Ankara,for the upcoming album 'Wrath Of The Ancients', 9 songs.At the moment Sadistic Spell is working on the material for their next album which is planned to be called "Conjurer".
