I was born in Detroit, Michigan and grew up in Port Huron.
Enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1994, giving me 15+ years of service so far.
My family lives in Hazard, Kentucky. It's a really small town, deep in the mountains of eastern Kentucky, isolated from the rest of the world. Hazard is known for it's large supply of coal, and the origin of hillbillies.
You can find me there on vacation once or twice per year, usually drunk and playing pool at the local VFW on East Main St.
As I said before, my family moved there from Michigan and will unfortunately never be fully accepted into the hillbilly ranks of Hazard. They will forever be "yankees"...too bad. That is, except the one who spends free time shooting dogs from the porch.
I've gone on about 15 deployments in my military career, taking me around the world several times.
I've partied in Roppongi Tokyo, chased kangaroos with a HMMWV in the Australian outback, ate kimchee in Korea, fought inside a kickboxing ring in Thailand, climbed Iwo Jima, went to Sri Lanka after the tsunami and went to Pakistan after their earthquake.
This is my fiance from Okinawa! We were attending the 9th Communications Marine Corps Ball, hosted at the Riviera Hotel in Vegas.
I'm re-enlisting for another 4 years. Six years left before I retire, I'm old...just kidding.
It's Secretary of Defense RUMMY! Look at me in the back, wearing shades, looking as if I don't give a fu@k. True....we all had to be there, lol. That's my buddy, MSGT "Blair" in the picture with the camera to his face.

Remnants of the war in Okinawa. I found this on a small island called Ieshima, several miles off the coast of Okinawa.
