Club-s12 is a tightly knit community of dedicated auto enthusiasts based in Canada(originally Regina, but now the Lower mainland of BC). The main focus is on the 1984 - 1988 Nissan 200sx(aka 180zx, Silvia, gazelle). The club was originally formed in 2002 when it broke off from the "classic 200sx" Yahoo group.
The original owner/webmaster of the club was Dan Aho(aka Dan0myte). From 2002 to April of 2006 he made the club grow to over 2000 members and decided it was time to pass the torch. He still holds administrative powers, however, complete control of the club's future has been put in the hands of two of the members on the forums: Travis Hatt(aka Westside27375 and Tim Yee (aka Indecisive). Sadly many of the founding members have decided to move on to other things, or are busy with other aspects of their lives, but we would like to note that without Jason Arro(aka Arro), Bart Cepek (aka bartc_j), Shaun Patten (aka Shaunp38) and Christopher Scott (aka cls12vg30) among others, Club-S12 would not be the community it is today.
Although based in Canada, the club caters to the world community. The club has many members in the UK, Australia, and many other places around the world. As the community grew, the UK and Australian members felt that they had a large enough member base to start their own communities in 2005. In March 2006, the "S12 World Affiliate Program" was introduced by Club-s12 to bring the separated communities closer together again while still allowing each individual community to exist.
Since its conception in 2002, the forum has moved to different servers and changed forum software 3 times. Much information was lost, but there is still a wealth of information still available both on the website itself, and the forums as well. Club-S12 still prides itself on being one of the largest and informative communities for the S12 worldwide.
