DJ Katakis a.k.a. Sensual Pleasure was born in Solingen, Germany in 1979.
In 2001 he founded his record label follow-records on which was able to feature acts like DJ Precision, Midor & Six4Eight, Juiz Electric, Sandro Peres, Samuelzone and Para X.
Having collected resident DJ experience in different clubs for several years, Katakis finally came to his first official release Tsunami.
After a while he remixed South-American Sandro Peres’ hit sunshine, which also made it as DJ Katakis Remix onto Heineken Green Room Vol. 1, a CD compilation released by Sony BMG Music. Besides DJ Katakis, Heineken Green Room Vol. 1 had to offer stars like Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, Tiesto, Mylo, Moby, Above & Beyond, Armand van Helden, ATB, David Guetta or David Morales.
Katakis’ single Port Of Senses, which he produced with Master Luc & Cyriac as Sensual Pleasure was played by a number of international top DJs and appeared on several CD compilations, such as Tunnel Trance Force, Tunnel goes Ibiza and Technics DJ Set.
As a DJ he also played gigs on Europe’s most successful dance music radio station Sunshine Live and shifted the faders in several hot clubs. Even at the legendary Love Parade in Berlin, people partied at his gigs.
In the future Katakis wants to gain more international experience and therefore, there are several projects with international top acts on his schedule.
