Ever so often, time produces something special for the world to enjoy... Chicago, a new hot bed for music talent has once again given birth to another great MC. Up steps Mikkey, a product of Southside Chicago's notorious Wild 100's section, is not new to the industry. Mikkey got his start with super-producer Kanye West. West produced Mik's first demo which landed him a deal with Cash Money Records, but being a product of a circle that has produced a crop that reads like a midwest who's who... (Kanye West, Common, No I.D., Shawnna, etc.) it ended up being a short stint. He did a lot of ghostwriting before returning to his roots to begin crafting the soon to be Classic... "Chicago:The Photo Album". Back in his old stomping grounds, Mikkey reconnected with No I.D. and started recording. No I.D. took a few songs to Jermaine Dupri, and they quickly did a deal at Virgin Records. Production on his debut album is handled in bulk by No I.D., with help from Kanye West and Mannie Fresh to name a few. Mikkey's style of Classic Hip-Hop lyricism mixed with a street wise perspective should make Hip Hop heads go wild, all while his "Wild 100's" imagery is enough to keep the block locked down. It's been a while since an artist has shown lyrical integrity, depth, and street savvy... Her voice is incredible and her sound is distinct. Discovered by Chicago pioneer No I.D., who also brought the world the likes of Common, Kanye West and Shawnna (DTP), Kaye Fox is a sultry mixture of Chicago west side gritty soul, mixed with a soulful gospel feel. An outstanding song writer as well, her songs are full of depth and meaning. She is a free agent after signing a deal with the now defunct Def Soul label and is poised to make her debut this summer on our Beat Machine label. Production by No I.D., 1120, KayGee, Manual Seal, Dre & Vidal and more!11 20, also known as Jason Floyd, is an up and coming hip-hop producer.
