DJ Eddieof "Definition of Sounds"Eddie was born in 1975 in Miami, FL . Drawn to music early on, Eddie’s thirst for music took a hold of him from a young age. Captivated by a wide range of music, from Rock and Reggae to Disco and Retro, Eddie was influenced by artists like Depeche Mode, New Order, Kraftwerk, and Front 242, to name but a few. He began his musical journey at 15, when he received his first turntables and 2 channel mixer. Shortly after, he moved from spinning in his bedroom to spinning for an audience at house parties and local venues. The discovery of electronic music would be the true passion for him. Eddie immediately fell in love with the loops, beats, and captivating music that he was hearing.
Currently still living in Miami, Eddie is constantly producing energetic sounds for the crowds he spins for. His sets can go from light and funky to dark and dirty in a seamless way that few can pull. Always keeping the music fresh, Eddie has his trademark blend of beats which inspire the house heads to move all night long. He’s taken various genres of house music and mashed them up to form his unique blend of pumping music. Eddie is one half of DOS (Definition of Sounds). Dj Eddie & Art G make up this dynamic duo, who have created their own brand of quality underground house, and are making a name for themselves within the Miami party scene. Dj Erodz (Eddie) currently holds a residency at top local Miami hot spot Nocturnal. There both himself and partner in crime Dj Art G, continue every weekend, to devastate the dancefloor. 2008 will hopefully bring new releases from the likings of both Dj Erodz (Eddie) and DOS, that will surely shake the dancefloor.
DJ Art G aka Arturo Garcia was born and raised in Miami and since a child has always had a love for music. Through listening to music he taught himself how to play the guitar and was influenced by a wide variety of artists. In the mid 90’s Art found his true passion in the form of electronic music while listening to the energy of George Acosta’s set at the Legendary Shadow Lounge Nightclub. Art’s talent allowed him to see the next wave of music coming to the forefront even when it was at its infancy stage of popularity in Miami and he expanded into Djing.
Contrary to popular belief electronic music’s trends change frequently. As the popularity of “Trance” in Miami began its decline he came across electro house, a new and exciting type of electronic music that you could not only dance to but that you felt in your soul. With this new found treasure of music he began to create and distribute his Mixed CDs to his closest friends. His selection of songs reflects the taste of the majority and over the years his style and sound has evolved, but one thing has remained constant: His ability to read the crowd and get them to dance.
