Elegua is the opener of possibilities and exist at the crossroads. A trickster he is depicted with the characteristics of a child. Elegua brings balance to the world. When Elegua is displeased he causes imbalance. He is also the special messenger of Olodumare. The colors of Elegua are red and black. Idealistic and humanitarian. Independant and original thinkers. Socially oriented-requiring group participation and interaction for self-expression. Detatched and fair-minded, but willing to take a stand. Strength of conviction enabling independent action in pursuit of ideals. Sensative, melancholy-but strong in the face of challenge. Ambitious, methodical, and persistant.
