Let me first take this time to thank you for visiting the page and to invite you to join the Republic World Media family. Some of you may be asking, "What is Gold Coast?" or "What is Republic World Media?". Allow me to answer each of those now: 1. WHAT IS GOLD COAST?- Gold Coast is a television drama that is currently under development by Republic World Media Group, LLC. A year ago, I was at home sick and reduced to laying in bed all day. I was at the mercy of my television ...and the programming was not kind. Every channel I turned to had a group of dramatic, rich, 30 somethings playing teenagers. One thing I noticed about these shows were that they were all completely out of the realm of reality, dealing with issues that while BASED in reality, still just werent that real. The casts were all white, the storylines were improbable, but as long as a few attractive people graced the screen it seemed like the audience didnt care. It was then I came up with the idea of Gold Coast. It is an affront to the popular television drama. Gold Coast centers around four young men (ethnically diverse young men) who own one of the Gold Coast's hottest night clubs and their struggles to maintain grounded relationships amongst a world of riches that none of them are accustomed to. It deals with issues such as abandonment, fatherhood, infidelity, integrity, abortion. It is the stuff of life. Consider Gold Coast to be beautiful chaos. Having the grit of Boston Public played out in a backdrop more glamourous that even The O.C. Gold Coast is truly a new creature.2. WHAT IS REPUBLIC WORLD MEDIA GROUP, LLC- REPUBLIC WORLD is a media corporation founded by Brian Anthony Patrick in 2005. The vision of Republic is to be "All Things Entertainment" by offering the public the best in entertainment in every way. Musically, REPUBLIC WORLD MEDIA GROUP in association with REPUBLIC WORLD MUSIC currently is home to such acts as The Forgotten Onez, McKinley Ave., Brian Anthony Patrick, K. Cook, Derrick Johnson, ChamberMusiq and soon to be many many more. REPUBLIC WORLD PRODUCTIONS is currently the home of writer and actor Brian Anthony Patrick and besides Gold Coast, several other television series are under production including the hilariously funny Pade Programming and Holding Down The Forts. REPUBLIC WORLD FILMS currently is committed to finishing three features by the end of 2009. REPUBLIC WORLD PRESS is hard at work creating THE SOPHISTICATE, a publication aimed at the sophisticated black man. There are many good things going on and I want YOU to be a part of all of them.
