Mayo is a classically trained multi-instrumentalist and is also a successful singer, songwriter, arranger and composer with work on the multi-platinum album “The Comfort Zone”, by Vanessa Williams. He’s also produced records for Jody Watley, Al Jarreau, Philip Bailey and Kevyn Lettau. He received a Grammy nomination as the featured performer on the Gerald Wilson “Theme From Monterey”, as well as Best R&B Album nods for producing Oleta Adams’ CD, “Movin’ On”.
