My Background:

Kenny Palmer is a house DJ with excellent credentials. His successful 12 year DJ career has seen him play in some of the worlds most prestigious clubs, consistently wowing crowds with his technically brilliant, distinctly unique mixing style and energy behind the decks. His sets are always fresh, original and well thought about, combining upfront house and electronic house tracks, yet to be released MP3's, promos, white labels, club classics and acapellas on three decks - This ensure that Kenny stands out from the rest. 2007 has seen Electronic Society booking agency head honcho Kenny travel worldwide with bookings requests coming in from Egypt (where Kenny headlined Cairo's first ever dance music festival), Ukraine, Poland, Latvia, Bulgaria, Lebanon, and Austria. With the launch of Electronic Society's new night in London imminent, 2008 is already looking like it's going to be bigger and better.

Music Styles:

Kenny plays melodic, pumping electronic house and progressive house.

DJ History:

Whilst a presenter on Juice 94FM, Kenny was asked to be resident at two clubs in south London - the Soundbarrier and Dorringtons - where he played alongside DJs such as Steve Lee, Nancy Noise and Paul Gardiner. During one of his sets at the Sound Barrier, Kenny got his first major break when a promoter heard him playing. He was so impressed with Kenny's energy, mixing and track selection that he asked to him if he would like to play for his event at Woody's the following week, playing alongside Ashley Casselle and Mike Gray (Full Intention). The following week Kenny stole the show, and straight after his set he was offered a residency for Friends at London's Heaven nightclub where he played alongside the UK's finest DJs for two years. During his time as resident for Friends at Heaven, Kenny's abilty, energy, and dedication were once again rewarded when he was booked to play for Sugar Candy at The Cross nightclub in Kings Cross, where he played alongside DJ legends Joe Fish, Fat Tony and Tall Paul. That night opened another new chapter in Kenny's DJ career, when a promoter heard his set and asked him if he would like to become monthly resident for Purity at The Cross with Mark Shimmon (Shimmon & Woolfson) and Sunny Side Up legend Simon Hill. Kenny's reputation, and crowd following were getting bigger after every gig he played, and he was soon booked to play at Bagleys Bunker, and then Bagleys for Freedom, where on his first night, he had lines of clubbers bowing down to him at the end of his set. More gigs followed soon after, and he played alongside the likes of Lisa Pin Up, Jim Shaft Ryan, Steve Thomas, Seb Fontaine, CJ Macintosh, Bobby & Steve, Seamus Haji, and Judge Jules. During this period, Kenny had grown to be really good friends with Pete Conti (who he had met at his first gig at Woody's) and after a few sets playing back to back together, they decided to make it a permanent thing. Shortly after, the duo were offered a residency for Purity, who were hosting the Studio room for Smartie Partie night at the Glasshouse in London. Unfortunately after only a few months, Purity decided to end their nights at The Glasshouse. This was when Kenny and Conti got together and started their own night, and SuperSexy was born. After holding SuperSexy gigs at Bagleys Bunker, The Cross, and The Hanover Grand (with Craig Richards and Seb Fontaine), they moved SuperSexy to the Glasshouse, as this was a venue that they really loved playing. For the next two years Kenny played every month for SuperSexy, and on occasions they hosted the second room of the Smartie Partie events where Kenny played alongside the likes of Marshall Jefferson, The Sharp Boys and Carlos Fransisco. Kenny continued to guest out at venues around London, including Turnmills, The Camden Palace, Chunnel Club, Heaven, Ministry of Sound, and The Cross. He also played gigs in Italy, Ibiza (El Divino, Es Paradis) and toured the USA. One of Kenny's DJ highlights was to be asked by Trace Harris to play for Smartie Partie at their millennium gig in the Glasshouse.
