Hi I'm Thulisile also known as Thulie.I'm 22 and i was born and raised in Richard's Bay in South Africa.I started singing in Church and i also sang in the school choirs back in SA.When i was 17,i received an award for the best Soprano singer in Eskhawini Township and i aslo came 2nd in a local gospel singing competition.Being someone who loved singing and music in general,I was still quite shy and had to be pushed by mum to audition for a part in a theatre production when a certain company came to audition for cast members.I went for it,sang a few notes and i got offered the job immediately.This job took me overseas as n 18 year old and here i am now working with an amazing cast in the popular theatrical production of Disney's The Lion King in a prestigious West End Venue.I'm a singer and an actress and i understudy (and have played on numerous occassions)the principle role of Rafiki.Personally i listen to Afro-jazz,pop,afro-pop,Gospel,Kwaito,Soul and r'n'bArtists i'm inspired by include Miriam Makeba,Judith Sephuma,Brenda Fassie,Lebo Mathosa,Ringo,Thandiswa Mazwai(''Zabalaza''- what an album!!!!) and artists who are true to themselves and their talent and represent without compromising themselves.I'm currently starting work on an album and am working with talented singer/songwriters and producers.I have also done features on various tracks and different styles of music so i'm open to working with other talented people out there who want to collaborate on projects.If you're interesteed .....message me and we'll try and work something out....Till then......
