Jennifer Trijo has recently completed her 3rd year at the University of New South Wales studying a Bachelor of Music and Bachelor of Education. In 2003 she played the principal role of Linda Low in the Rodgers and Hammerstein’s musical Flower Drum Song at the Footbridge Theatre. She has shared the stage with prominent Filipino artists such as: Vina Morales; The Hunks; Martin Nievera; Kuh Ledesma; Zsa Zsa Padilla; Gary Valenciano;Nina and SouthBorder in their 2004 - 2006 Sydney tours as a supporting act and back up vocalist. Outside of the music arena, her accolades include the Diaz Foundation’s Miss Philippine Independence 2001, MPC’s Miss Teen Philippines Sydney 1999, Miss Charity Princess 1999, and Miss Talent 1999. Jennifer was the pioneer recipient of the Good Shepherd Performing Arts Award in 1999. She began taking jazz, and tap lessons at the age of 9. Her main passion aside from performance, is penning her original compositions through the mediums of piano, guitar, and percussion. She was the former lead singer of Sydney band "The Penny Record Project" in 2004. She was a singer in the popular 70s, 80s, 90s covers band Family von Trapp from 2005 to 2007 and had performed regular shows all across NSW and Interstate. Jennifer has performed her own solo cabaret sets at Illawarra Catholic Club; Cabbravale Diggers and Toukley RSL and she has also featured in Wayne Cornell's touring "Back to the Tivoli" shows at venues such as Central Coast Leagues, Casino RSL and Twin Towns Services Club. She has recently been a part of the cast of Carmen-The Musical at Sydney Theatre. She is currently playing the role of Kim (Alternate) in the musical Miss Saigon at Her Majesty's Theatre, Melbourne.
