Where ever you go....Go with all your heart

About Me

Im not that hard to get a long with. But it does take some time before most people understand that Im a lot nicer than I appear to be. A history of bad decisions in people I could trust, has most to do with that. I try to live for today and remember that once its done you cant take it back! Another hard lesson I learned when my dad passed away. With that being said, I do what makes ME happy. I take risks here and there, have to, you can't really LIVE if you don't Go for It every now and then. href="http://photobucket.com" target="_blank" I grew up in this area mostly, know a lot of hidden secrets and treasures that are to be seen at ranches in this area where my dad worked for over 20 yrs. These ranches include 101, MT. Ord, Petan, 02 and Clayton Williams. I'm familiar with the Kerville area hill country as well. From Center Point, Bandera, Pipe Creek, Marble Falls to Medina etc... I miss riding horses, shooting cans (rabbits & gophers too), arrow head hunting and soooo many more things! Being my dads only child and my grandfathers only grandchild, I was more of a tom boy than anything.(hard to imagine now huh?) My grandfather, "Stray" Lee was one of the last old timers to gather missing, lost and orphaned cattle when Big Bend was not a private park.(thus his nickname) He and my grandmother lived and worked on a lot of the ranches in South Brewster County and Marathon area. (I plan to put up some really neat pics that you just dont get to see anymore of my grandfather and his fellow cowboys) Like my dad, Im somewhat of a "blacksheep". I follow not too far behind in my dads footsteps. Those that "know me" do. Those that think they do,don't. I love challenges, I thought I had given that up, not so. I have one that is turning out to be pretty tricky, but it's fun well see how far I can get.

http://www.nuttyprices.com/GiggleVideos.shtml?gclid=CIWoyIbd wIsCFQkjWAodF2HF1gDozens of dolphins and sea lions trained to detect and apprehend waterborne attackers could be sent to patrol a military base in Washington state, the Navy said Monday. In a notice published in this week's Federal Register, the Navy said it needs to bolster security at Naval Base Kitsap-Bangor, on the Puget Sound close to Seattle. The base is home to submarines, ships and laboratories and is potentially vulnerable to attack by terrorist swimmers and scuba divers, the notice states. Several options are under consideration, but the preferred plan would be to send as many as 30 California sea lions and Atlantic Bottlenose dolphins from the Navy's Marine Mammal Program, based in San Diego. "These animals have the capabilities for what needs to be done for this particular mission," said Tom LaPuzza, a spokesman for the Marine Mammal Program. LaPuzza said that because of their astonishing sonar abilities, dolphins are excellent at patrolling for swimmers and divers. When a Navy dolphin detects a person in the water, it drops a beacon. This tells a human interception team where to find the suspicious swimmer. Dolphins also are trained to detect underwater mines; they were sent to do this in the Iraqi harbor of Umm Qasr in 2003. The last time the animals were used operationally in San Diego was in 1996, when they patrolled the bay during the Republican National Convention. (source: MILLITARY.COM)http://www.military.com/NewsContent/0,13319,12 5067,00.html?ESRC=navy-a.nl Dolphins were thought by ancient Greeks and Romans to bring mariners good luck, and appeared frequently in their legends. In fact, the Greeks honored them on more than 40 coins. Thanks to their graceful beauty, intelligence, acrobatics and playful nature, bottlenose dolphins have fascinated people since ancient times. Streamlined and smooth, their bodies reach varying lengths from 6 to 12 feet, dependent upon geographic location. Females can live for more than 50 years, while males typically live for about 40 years. Bottlenose dolphins produce several sounds, including whistles, clicksused for echolocation, and squawks. Their "signature whistles" areindividually distinct and are probably used to communicate the dolphin'sidentity, location, and emotional state

Books:

If only I could leave this awful place and find the tranquil waters of the sea to swim with your abandon and your grace and lead your life so simple and so free. But I must travel through life as a man, as restless and as angry as a storm. I seek out and I find peace where I can but, to my human nature, must conform. What must you think of me out here afloat just looking on, your captive as you play? Upon this large and slow and clumsy boat, if you could speak my words, what would you say? They say you dream of men, perhaps you do. But, in my fondest dreams, I dream of you.
