Ortiz, a Capitol Hill High School sophomore, was gunned down by an unknown assailant Wednesday about 10:15 p.m. after answering the side door of the house at 2524 SW 22, Oklahoma City police Capt. Jeffrey Becker said. Ortiz died at the scene.Manny Rios, 16, held back tears as he described his friend. "Everyone liked him a lot," he said. "He was that kind of guy you could just hang out with. Everyone loved his big old smile full of braces. He was always happy and laughing, you could never get him mad."Throughout the day on Thursday, high school students parked their cars in an empty lot across the street and took a few minutes to speak with his friends and family.
