Recently, I have been going through a great ordeal. But with the help of my family and friends with their constant prayers and love I found peace. Still I rise! Not only through them but God plays a major role in my life and how His power and divine love for His children overcomes all. One of my favorite Bible verses is Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me". This verse is powerful, true, and exemplary of God's Love and strength, that we as ordinary men and women can conquer extraordinary events in our life through our faith in God. "When the storms of life threaten to overcome us, when the power of doubt starts to overtake the power of faith, …we are invited to keep in mind the power of God. When the power of hate begins to overcome the power of love …keep in mind the power of God. When the power of revenge begins to destroy the power of forgiveness, …keep in mind the power of God. When the power of despair attacks the power of hope, … keep in mind the power of God. When people treat you like a nobody, …keep in mind the God whose image you bear …and whose strength gives you strength, …i.e. keep in mind the power of God. When you wonder if it matters at all to stand up for justice against the powers of injustice, keep in mind the power of God." ~ Rev. C. Wayne Hilliker I also like to look at things as if for the first time even if I've seen it a thousand times...Everything and everyone has a new perspective to offer.
