About Me

Originally from Philadelphia. I graduated from the American Musical and Dramnatic Academy and studied one year in New York, and one year in Los Angeles, where I currently reside.I am completely 100% head over heels in love with acting. If it were a hot man I would marry it. Seriously. I haven't felt as strong a passion for anything in my life, as I have for my craft, and the goals that I hope to acheive through it. When I'm on stage or on camera, I feel the way Clark Kent must feel when he puts on the blue tights and red cape. Like he is more himself when he's Superman then any other time in his life. That's his purpose- to save the world. Mine- well, I'm still discovering what my purpose on this earth is, but I KNOW it involves acting. ...And by the way... those symbols back there, the first one is the Spider's Web- symbol for Creativity and Wisdom. The second is the Ram's Horns- symbol for Humility and Strength. These are the qualities that I hope to obtain and embody throughout my lifetime. They are there to remind me and everyone else of the person that I strive to become.

Movies:

I am a big Kate Winslet fan. I admire her work and the versatility and variety that she brings to each role. Here are some films that really moved me. I like to myself playing the lead female in films that I enjoy. I think that I actually fit a lot of these types. I am a strong person,- which I think, is the reason why I usually identify with the lead. Here are some films that I really like:Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (my all-time favorite- I fudgin love this movie!) Volver (saw it last week; it was great. Go Penelope Cruz!) Finding Neverland (Johnny and Kate how can u go wrong?) Heavenly Creatures Little Children Poetic Justice (The lead character Justice from this film, and Beneatha from Raisin in the Sun are the 2 characters I identify with most out of any play or film I've seen or read) Romeo and Juliet Jude What Dreams May Come Interview with the Vampire Superman Returns Batman Begins (Christian Bale shirtless.. need I say more?) The Little Mermaid ( I know; I know) Garden State (really identified with Natalie's character-but what young girl didn't?) Star Wars (all of them-especially the Prequels; if u have a problem with that u can come see me!) Clerks (especially 2) Dogma (Yay Kevin Smith!) City of God Maria Full of Grace Chocolat (beautiful film) ......and the list goes on, and on.....

Television:

I don't really watch many tv dramas. I've been meaning to start Tivo-ing Lost.... But here are the shows I like (which again are shows that I would have wanted a role in):Sex and the City

Books:

Raisin in the Sun (plays count as books!) Romeo and Juliet (O look, methinks I see my cousins ghost, seeking out Romeo who did spit his body upon a rapier's point. Stay Tybalt Stay! Romeo, Romeo, Romeo. Here's drink- I drink to thee.... that was all from memory- yay me!) Hamlet ( Think they'll ever let a 5'1 black girl play Hammy? Me neither- whether tis nobler in the mind to take arms against a sea of____ (what word goes there?) and by opposing end them.... or to die? To sleep. To dream no more? [did i get that right? I don't think I did.]) Othello Macbeth ( yes I like Shakespeare...) Queen of the Damned ........ and comic books. I really really like comic books. Really. I think I may even be developing a slight obsession. But a little obsession is healthy every now and then right?

Heroes:

Anyone who holds firm to their morals and virtues. Not even necessarily from a religious point of view. Just anyone who upholds what they believe in- and does so without persecuting, oppressing, defaming, or harming others or the beliefs of others- whether they agree with them or not. I respect and admire anyone who grants others the basic courtesies, dignities, and respects that we are each due for being human beings. Anyone who has learned to become self-less. Who realizes and respects that we are all completely mortal, and have only a limited time on this earth, and seeks to use their time to better this world. Anyone who can see pass what he or she desires or even needs, and can sacrifice that part of himself or herself to help someone else. These are the people that I respect and admire- the people who have fully realized these parts of themselves. I respect these people and aspire to oneday realize these parts of myself too. These people are my heroes- -them, and anyone one in the Justice League of America or the X-men. Especially Wonder Woman, and Storm.
