Maggie And Moore Issues and PlansEnvironment--Theres too much pollution that can be harmful to human life and the environment....PLAN....Encourage more alternative fuel source, require carmakers to increase hybrid production or cars with alternative fuel source by 10%=================Civil Liberty Protection--Infringing on privacy and free speech threw wiretapping without a warrant....PLAN....Wire-tapping must be passed by both houses if it doesn’t have a warrant. Set up a committee to review FISA and similar government policies; work to ensure that warrant less wiretapping is punished to the fullest extent of the law==================Violence in Society--Gang members lack enough support to reform their lives, crime rate up ....PLAN.... Increase policy force to help control crime rate, Maggie and Moore unlike their opponents want to tackle the problem at its source, establish programs that offer assistance and guidance to former gang members as well as support groups to get them back on their feet.====================Worker Rights--a no brainer, the cost of living has increased so....PLAN....Maggie and Moore want to Raise wage $.20 each year for 5 years=================Energy Sources--Heavy dependence on foreign oil which causes turmoil between nations politically and economically ....PLAN....Fund companies to research for new energy sources such as coal, nuclear energy, and ethanol, ect.===============Women’s Rights--If legalized, morning after pill will be abused as well as cause many lawsuits. Abortion will be used like any other contraception....PLAN....Monitor the selling of the Morning After Pill and make it so it is only accessible behind the counter from a pharmacist with a prescription==============Minority Rights--Affirmative action where too much judgment is based on race or gender or both that decide whether one is accept by a employer or college....PLAN.... Remove race from SAT’s, ACT’s, and job applications too=================Health Care and Research--No research going on (legally) on stem cells due too to much controversy on topic....PLAN....Open up field by limiting research into the benefits, cutting out politics to help get things moving===============Education--Underprivileged schools not meeting standards....PLAN....More teachers to help students and encourage them to stay after for additional help. Increase funds to schools that meet standards and help influence school that don’t by using this as an incentive.===============Taxation--Not enough money going into Social Security, will be depleted when our generation retires....PLAN....Focus on new programs to increase federal funs that citizens can tap into, educate people on 401K plan, and set up plans to encourage investing threw media. Increase taxes to help pay off nation debt.===============Immigration--Too many illegal border violations....PLAN.... Stricter boarder control, more personal workers who patrol boarder, increase funding to INS(Immigration and Naturalization Services) to help deport and reduce the number of illegal immigrants===========VOTE MAGGIE AND MOORE NOVEMBER 2006!!!
