Raising Consciousness

EVERYTHING you do CHANGES the world. --Julia Butterfly Hill

About Me

This site exists to inspire people to live with greater purpose during the most pivitol time in human history. With war, poverty, over-population, the loss of biodiversity and global climate change, there has never been a greater opportunity to use our most precious human characteristics - hope, compassion and creativity - to transform our world into a sustainable, just and spiritual society.
We are part of a consciousness revolution that is happening all around the globe. More and more we are discovering (in part since the advent of modern technology and globalization) that we are all part of the same living organism, that all of life is intimately connected, and that what you do to another, you also do to yourself. When we pollute, we are polluting our OWN home. When we purchase goods that have exploited the environment and human societies then we are exploiting ourselves. But likewise, when we choose love and compassion toward our fellow human beings and the Earth, then we are honoring and touching the deepest parts of our souls.
As a species, we're beginning to recognize that our current philosophies of prosperity prevent us from living in balance with the Earth, with eachother and with ourselves. We are using up our resources at an unprecedented rate, rapidly destroying eco-systems and cultures that have evolved for tens of thousands of years.
But deep in the hearts of many lies the questions, is there another way? Is there something more fulfilling? Where do I fit into the solution to this grand challenge?
If you are asking yourself these questions, then you are already making progress towards discovering your role in this grand awakening. We encourage you to view the links in the general section to the left to assist you on this journey. We hope that you will choose to use your unique gifts for the betterment of the world. In deed, that is why you are here on this earth. To express your highest potential for love and connection with your brothers, sisters, and your mother Earth. There is no other reason.
This is your space -- a space to share your aspirations for a more sustainable, socially-just and peaceful world. Please visit this site often, read/submit blogs, post comments, questions, poems and prayers regarding social and ecological affairs, post information about your good causes, and connect for change. Thanks for visiting!

"It is possible that the next Buddha will not take the form of an individual. The next Buddha may take the form of a community – a community practicing understanding and loving kindness, a community practicing mindful living. This may be the most important thing we can do for the survival of the earth."
